I've never seen a tripod bearing wear where it had to be replaced. Normally the drivers are what wear and causes the vibrations when accelerating. Not much help to you now since it is all apart, but feel inside the inner drivers for wear and swap side to side if any doubt.
Outer joints click on hard turns when they are worn. Any evidence of that before removal? Blueing is normal for that joint as it was part of the manufacturing heat treating of the cup. It's best to tear the outer joint all apart and inspect the parts > it's outlined on the link I posted.
