I'd start by giving it a through scrubbing with soap (I like Simple Green) and water, getting it as wet as you need. The real key is to get it dry before mold sets in. A wet vac works well but you can use paper toweling. The best way to get it dry is outside in the sun but that may not be possible this time of year. I'd be careful about putting it in front on a heater-it could shrink. But get it dry fast.
