I would say it isn't good or bad it is very different. I still have a 93 900 CVT that I plan to keep for quite awhile, but in the end that will be it. I loved my 9000 CSE T even with all the problems that came with it. Saab used to be a technologically driven company with many innovations that found there way to the mainstream (advancing Turbo charging technology, FWD, heated seats etc.) Profits were hard to come by and in the end they had no choice but to succumb to GM. My 00 9-5 Aero has been absurdly expensive to maintain, and I maintain my cars by the book. Rebadging and SUVs are GMs way of trying to recoup some of their money but what does a 9-7 have to do with Saab? Also the decontenting in the 9-5 and the very long life cycle are not helping sales. The competition is showing up with much more game than anything Saab has. In the end the Saab we knew many years ago is dead. Maybe the GM/Saabs will be good, I don't know, but I have voted with my wallet and chose to go elsewhere after 12 years and 4 Saabs.
