Thanks,
Mine is clearly from an improper re-install of the molding strip. The outside two screws, one on the far left drivers side, and the one on the far right passenger's side are not OEM. They appear to have been replaced when the convertible top was replaced prior to my ownership. This afternoon I replaced the one on the pass side with an OEM from another Saab convert... The hole seems to be stripped as the screw won't tighten completely and has a bit of wiggle to it. Is it just sheet metal that they secure into under the fabric top?
As well I can tell from removing all the screws and comparing to my other saab 900 convertbile that at the outside edges of the molding is not lined up correctly.... shifted down towards the trunk about 3-4cm on both outside ends. The middle shows perfectly lined up.
Trunk shows perfectly lined up along all edges and I'd rather not adjust it unless it's the last option.
Suggestions for fixing holes and adjusting molding up just a tad?
