I am glad to hear that someone else has had a good experience with Seafoam. I have used it in several of my cars, and use it by dividing a can into three parts -- one for the oil sump, one for the gas tank, and one for a vacuum line input to the intake manifold. There is a direction to follow when using it direct into the intake -- just read the instructions and obey the rules. This case sounds rather severe -- maybe one of the "half transmission oil and half regular oil" cocktails would help free things up. It certainly can't do any more harm. i remember reading a posting on that procedure, and if you read this and want explore that further, I can probably dig up the instructions. Just post back that you are interested and I will look it up.
