Chris, the best soundstage I've heard in a C900 is with tweets and mids mounted in the doors. I mounted a MB Quart 1" tweeter with a 4 1/2" mid in the door panel. I just cut out the foam for the 1" right where the "armrest" curves up to the window. The 4" went in the door cut-out behind the fabric panel. It took minor fabrication but looked, and more important, sounded great. Bass is basically omnidirectional, so a small 10" PPI sub in an enclosure went in the trunk. Personally, speakers in the back are only really useful for a 5.1 surround sound application (ie. DVD player in dash or headrests) or if you have passengers most of the time. Spend good dollars for a good 2-channel system. My favorites are MB Quart like dspg89, Soundstream, JL Audio or even the high-end Boston Acoustics. E-mail me back at maclandyouthatyahoo.com if you have any other questions.
