Carl, No spark at the plug, right? Go see if you get a spark at the end of the coil to dist. high tension wire when it's about 1/32"-1/16" from ground. If no then check the coil primary circuit. Got 12 volts to the coil with the key in "run" position? That's the green/white wire on coil terminal "15". Next look at the ignition amplifier (on the driver's side inner fender) and check for a good connection there. When the ig. amp. goes bad the car won't start but that would be a hell of a coincidence huh. I still think that you should fiddle with the Hall Effect connector some more. It's one of the few ignition things that is disconnected when you pull a head. Don't worry about the AMM, even if it's disconnected you'll run in "Limp home" mode... although it would be 'hard to start', so check the connection there (yeah, that's the ticket). Check fuses #3 and #7. Myles.
