Joe, As the guy who thought that you were up against having to cut the clutch shaft out I'm very glad that it didn't come to that. I've always been able to pull clutch shafts by just putting a bolt in the end and levering with a three foot crowbar fulcrumed against the tranny case. All the posts here pretty well cover what to do now and how to do it. The clutch shaft seal is a bear to pull out and the RM seal is a bit tricky to drive/push in. I have trouble swinging a hammer in there and rely on a technique similar to the four inch pipe cap with bolts. A very small amount of high temp. grease on the shaft splines is a good idea. If you have access to a drill press you can use that to depress the clutch cover and reseat the ring tool. If you haven't already pulled the pilot bearing and seals make some notes on how deeply those are seated. Best of luck.
