I have owned 5 C900's, only recently did i buy a 90 SPG with a turbo. I don't know if it's me, the way I drive, or just general traffic conditions where I live, but I find I am not impressed with the turbo, and it is much more trouble than it is worth. My commute to work is on local 2 lane county roads, and I find by the time I get boost, it's time to hit the brakes. For the type of driving I have to deal with in the congested state of NJ, I'm better off with low-end, off the line power. NJ is one of the most congested states, with the lowest traffic fatalty rate in the country, but also the highest insurance rates. The truth of the matter is that it is awful hard to die in a traffic accident at 5 MPH, but it can cause a lot of damage to your car. I realize that turbo gives you FREE power and increases your economy, but I get little benefit from either, and the same 22 MPG I get with my NA Saabs. The most noticible performance increase was converting my NA automatic to a 5 speed.
