Is there anywhere today where I will be able to get a hold of a Saab OEM thermostat?
Car did get up to top end of temp range as I was going to pull over to side of the highway. I shut it down immediately. No strange smells which suggest that it overheated - hopefully head gasket is safe.
Think expansion cap is fine based on air release when I was checking other parts last night. I will check the radiator for stains too.
I may try to replace thermostat on my own, but it looks like I will also need to investigate cooling system flush. This may be a little more than I can handle on my own as DIY due to limited space and knowledge.
Thanks for all of your suggestions,
Bill
