location of the ignition module, and by chance dose it have a heat failure when it becomes bad?
the car will run great for the first 5 minutes, boosting hard throughout all gears no problem, but soon as the motor hits operating temp. or warms to an adequate tep. its dead
and will not restart until around two hours elapsed then it will preform flawlessly once again.
while the motor was running i went through all the wires wiggling and tugging to make the motor misfire or die. found none.
it came down to hall sensor, coil, and ign. amp.
everything checked out and was replaced, i had a custom dis. along with me that i had tried & although this diss. had the motor running,.. prr-ing like a kitten, after 2 minutes the motor died.
it could be i have a bad hall sensor in the custom diss from being used when i bought it, & seeing this was the first time i tried to use it, & strangely enough have just fried my hall in the diss. i was currently using.
today trying to track down distributors or a hall rebuild kits, i found a used one for 100 buxs the would currently fit the car, or the 89 & 92 900t diss's for 70 buxs with the plug to convert it, which are 100% returnable. i went with the 89,92 opp.
tomorrow im going to rewire the three prong hook up (again) to fit the new plug and try the distributors.
after that if shes not running..... i may need to know where the ignition mod is :)
the ignition mod. has peaked my interest and would like to know all there is to know on its location.
