well seems my shift rod is leaking like no tomorrow,
which is draining my gear fluid faster than one would tend to like.
I asked the indy how much for him to replace the shift rod seal, (at the gear box) he said it can be done with the motor in the car but its a pain in the dairy air, and sugjested if i wanted him to do it he was going to have to pull the motor, of course after i heard that i laughed
untill i had tears, well at the time the leak was not to bad as you can imagine as time went on the leak became worse.
now there is so much oil all over the gear box housing i dont know where its coming from, so im going to clean house a little, in replacing the gasket on the dip stick side, and the rear differential gasket,
my question is,... can i or will i be able to replace the shift rod with the plates off or is it next to imposable as the Indy said with the motor still in the car?
