the issue you ran into at 3/4th red is the exact issue i have.

im guessing its fuel cut out switch under there, if not the oem coil.

look for a plastic cylinder that had a flat head screw in the center of it,
its way up under on driver side.
spin this screw 360 degrees, this will allow the switch to be bypassed at 3/4ths.

on a side note

i have not twisted the screw nor do i want to play around in this area of boosting past 3/4ths.

just know theres a very good chance to blow the head gasket if you boost with the full scale of the red.

twisting the screw in the fuel cut off 360 counter clock wise would be my best guess.
take the car out for a run and if you experience the motor cut before 1//2 red twist the screw 720 degrees clockwise.

ill try to find a pic. of it and add it later.
just a note.
laying the tac over to 3/4ths red your hitting around 21psi of boost
going full red is going to put you around 30....

may detonation be gentle
you got my best wishes but boosting beyond 3/4ths.........

the over boost switch would never let you get to 3/4th if it was installed
but there could be a slim chance its malfunctioning in a un scientific way.

the over boost switch is a round metal cylinder, it has one vac. line running to it with two wires.
before i tell you how to bypass it try and locate it.
ill guarantee its not under there. (up under driver-side) kinda up there.

the fuel switch has two vac. lines running to it and its way way up under there. (siting in driver seat they are both to the left of the steering wheel)
