Long crank time on 1982 8V turbo (non-APC) 105K
Just today I pulled all 4 injectors out (while still connected to fuel lines) and found that none of them spray while cranking the starter. Is this normal? I think only the cold start injector is allowing the engine to eventually start.
The car has always been hard starting, even thru the warm months. Have to crank it for 8 - 10 seconds about 2 or 3 times before it will fire up. Then it runs great. Warm starts, not a problem. I do have an 8V Bentley manual and have checked a lot of fuel system with that. But I am baffled at this point, and would appreciate any 8V advice. I have owned this car for about 9 months and fixed a lot of neglected maintenence. Here's what I have checked out so far.
New cap, rotor, NGK's, and new plug wires
Fuel PSI's checked out per Bentley
Replaced bad warm up regulator with known good one
Cold start injector sprays while cranking
Cleaned throttle body and air flow plate
Ran Techron thru tank
Vacuum lines all ok, pulls strong vacuum when running
Thanks in advance for any advice.
