The fuel injectors will not spray that way, they are balanced to the point where the pintle only opens by the suction created when the engine is doing its downward intake stroke.
You would have to lift the air flow door manually while cranking to make the injectors spray.
It is so many small details that all have to be tuned to perfection for the 8 valve engines to start up good.
It's not possible t list them all in writing since it would take longer to write about it than it takes to check and set all those things.
Cold start fuel pressure and the function of warm up regulator is crucial.
A clean throttle bore and idle screw adjusted perfectly is also a must.
The cold start valve function and the vacuum/electric switch for acceleration enrichment is also crucial.
