I think I agree with you WRT cost vs hassle. I can just picture this job turning ugly really quick. No, the noise is still reasonably mild. Since my garage door opener just died (& my wife now wants the same $250 Genie unit the neighbors bought), I think I'll wait for a month or two (or three...).
A coworker gave me a set of 6x15 OE 9000 alloy rims late last summer. With the cost & better winter traction of a set of 185-65 WRs, it was too tempting to keep them dedicated to the 5.5x15 OE alloys & spring for a 2nd set of lower cost 3-season 195-60 BFGs for the 9000 rims. This is the 1st season I've run the WRs, but I put about 10k miles on them w/o rotating. I know now that was a mistake on my part.
Oh, & uh, what's a "900 corner-fig-newton"?
