I can't believe you are serious. lol

I'll hunt down small torch and MAP gas and replace the rag with a piece of metal underneath the MC.

I was imagining while down in the car that there is a ratchet at Sears that attaches to a flare nut that would make this turning easy as pie. No such luck?

I just finished tapping it and the end of cylinder with the end of a ratchet for the past five minutes. I would have hit it harder if there was enough clearance. I was trying to hit it like I would hit a lid on a jar that will not open.

Using a cloth to hold the wrench gave me some leverage with the wrench but still no budging the nut.

Yeah but, what if I was the MC? Huh? Huh? Huh? :-D the flare nut's left would be exactly opposite then if I was on the opposite side and was the metal pipe that leads to the flare nut. lol, I am the metal pipe that leads to the flare nut and turning the nut left towards the alternator.

Have a great weekend and a great next week! it's going to take me a while to get these things by bus. Thanks again for your help.
