Thanks for the information.
The shop said they've painted a line on the pulley to see if it's slipping, then they'll know for sure if that's what the problem is. I'll get the car back tomorrow, but I'm trying to figure out what I need to look for. The crank pulley is on the back (firewall) side of the engine, down low, right? And it drives the belts for the alternator, oil pump, water pump, and AC compressor. I understand it's two metal pieces with rubber in between, but do the metal pieces fit one inside the other, or like 2 plates next to each other? Will I be able to see if it's slipping from above without removing anything?
Just trying to stay on top of things.
