Try raising it a little by hand and then try the electrical switch. The directions to do this are clearly over stated in the owners manual. If you don't have it look inside the truckn and on the right 1/4 about 1/3rd to half way up look for a opening in the carpet that lines the forward wall of the trunk. You should be able to open the fasbric flap and see a valve . Book says to turn the valve 1/4 turn clockwise. Move top up a little then reclose valve. Try electrical switch. I have found that several 900 classic verts motors had developed a "memory" I wiped that out so to speak, by removing the upper motor screw completely. I sprayed WD 40 for about a minute . put the upper screw back in (this was sometimes difficult to aligh. Then I loosened bottom motor screw enough to allow any excess WD 40 to drain out. I retightened lower screw, rechecked upper screw for tightness and motor worked first try and everytime there after. I have done this to 3 top motors with very good and lasting results. saved a lot of money, a real hassle replacing motors and taught me a new lesson in 15 minutes of trial and error experimentation. Give it a try. Might work for you. Frank
