Thanks Larry, i checked and the orange one I had terminated with heat shrink, so nothing is connected to it.

Is there any other way the LC would be told that I have an automatic? .

I'm really at wits end on this idle issue. When I had the autobox the engine ran fine, now it can't hold idle.

BTW I Cleaned out the AIC and it seems like I have the same shaking issue. I notice that If I pinch the small vacuum hose going to the Cam Cover there negligible effect but once I release it smooths out for 10 seconds or so. I'm thinking this indicates a vacuum leak but I see no problems. I tigtened clamps, put wire ties on the small hoses and listened for vacuum leak. I also pinched each hose to see if things change

The air conditioner works but there is no noticable change in idle when it is turned on.

Can I actually time the car? I located the timing marks on the flywheel, but I thought this car did not need timing? I did turn the distributor slightly while running and there was no change at all.
