Yep, the intake manifold gaskets are actually pretty new. I replaced those early in the summer when trying to find a separate low boost issue. I didn't replace the one on the side because it appears to still be good, but I have an extra gasket around so I might as well.
One thing that's worried me is there appears to be some fluid around the vacuum fitting in the valve cover. The gasket seems to be in pretty decent shape, as is the vacuum fitting, so I don't know why there's fluid there. Is this normal? Also, the big hose going into the vacuum fitting in the valve cover is pretty stinkin' loose. I pushed it back on tight, but there seems to be a bit of play and it doesn't take much to pull it loose again. Whether it was loose or tight didn't seem to make a difference in how it behaved at idle, but I haven't tried spraying it or anything. Is that hose being loose something that would cause the issues my car is having?
Luckily I'm on break, so I have time to have some fun tinkering around under the hood.
