Okay, so I'm thinking it's got to be the AIC or something directly related to it. I went out and put the super cleaned up AIC back in the car and it did the same old start up, rev to 2000 rpm, then stall. While the car was still cold I unplugged the AIC and it started right up and stayed at idle, though a bit of a low idle (maybe 600 or 700 rpm). This tells me (1) that the connection to the AIC is good since there's a difference whether it's plugged in or not and (2) that the AIC or something directly related to it is malfunctioning.
Anyone have any input on whether this means it's definitely the AIC, or is there something else that could be effected by unplugging the AIC?
All of the grounds are looking good and there doesn't appear to be any other major electrical issues or anything else out of place.
All of the input thus far is helpful and much appreciated.
