Reuben44,
OK I just looked at the old posts. You must be consulting Chevy or Ford people when they tell you to "Just replace" your engine. A C900 SAAB engine with 91,000 miles on it is barely broken in! You have a really desirable car there, A C900t CV with low miles. Sitting for 10 years wouldn't make me blink unless it was under water or something. I think it needs a head gasket. I would inspect the head mating surface and if it's slick and flat then install the new gasket and bolt the head right back on, it will be fine. If you want to bail on that SAAB and buy the Toyota call me up, I want it (but not if it's already apart). Good luck.
