it's a tough call. Like others said, it's worth taking a look inside at least. There are different schools of thought on this, but we've had our 2.1L apart several times (+ tranny out once as well). Last time it was a burnt valve (big chunk burnt out of it). I spent around $600 on parts from the dealer + about the same on the labor (including a remachine - a fantastic deal, expect to pay more!)... It's been trouble free for 4 years now. For the most part, the parts are pretty cheap, so if you can find an indy who can help you out, you might be able to keep it going...
if nothing else, a known good tranny is worth something! yours is fairly low miles too. + yes, the body looks good from the picture if the paint is original (though depends what's going on under the car)... rust is bad, but these cars are tough too + can last many years even in the salt...
I've found very few nice turbos showing up locally + they are usually pretty expensive, so until you find one, if you want a classic, might be best to keep this one going... might have parts you'd want to transfer if you find a turbo (in less than perfect shape) later on... parts for a c900 are cheaper than the newer saabs so keep that in mind as well (eg if you get a newer car that might have something come up to fix)...
good luck!
James...
