swoody,
Good going! There's as many way to measure toe as there people needing to do it. Just to be clear, the 2, + or - 1, mm is Total toe not per side and you won't experience any handling abnormalities resulting from insufficient or excessive toe, it's not something that can ordinarily be felt by the driver. Wrong toe setting will destroy your front tires amazingly fast either along the inner or outer edges depending on whether the tires are toed in or out. For instance, had you left the toe setting at 10 mm in, your front tires could have exposed steel belts on the outer edges after about 3000 miles! Just letting you know, that's why I suggested re-checking after a little use and keeping an eye on front tire wear, especially the edges (or "shoulders"). You may want to adjust the tie rod ends to center the wheel soon as they have a tendency to get really stuck on the shafts and become hard to turn after a while. I should have mentioned putting some anti-seize on those threads but I forgot.
