I wouldn't run these except on a race car. Their pistons have no dust boots because dust boots melt when things get very hot. The tradeoff for heat resistance is less resistance to the elements.
Sure, people use them on rally cars, but these are racing calipers, meant to be inspected daily for trouble. You can't just go throwing race calipers on a daily-driven car and expect them to last long, work after sitting for ages, or withstand things like salt, grit, and sand on a daily basis.
Oh, and when they fail, they FAIL. Vince Tong used them on his c900, but there's no data on the reliability.
Here's another idea: People on some other forum told me that the front calipers from a 1989 Toyota V6 4x4 pickup will fit on a c900, pre-'88 vented rotor+hub. Doubtless other years of Toyota too. These are cheap and plentiful (and four-piston IIRC) and have dust-boots. It requires filing the mounting holes a bit on the caliper, but nothing drastic.
