Sure, the c900 is considered the last 'pure' saab, and they're great cars, but they're just not practical for 200-300 mile/week use FOR ME. Maybe if you have the time to do the (admittedly easy) repairs/upkeep on a daily driven c900, by all means, drive them every day. I did through high school, college, and a year of work.

I love my 85 900, and I like it more than my Viggen, but the Viggen is faster, quieter, better handling, and more reliable than my 900 ever was. I do all my own maintenance/repairs, and in between 60+ hour weeks at work, I just don't have the time to keep a c900 on the road.

My wife's 95% GM 08 9-3 aero wagon has been an awesome road trip car and hasn't given me one bit of trouble. Do I kid myself that it's a "real" saab? Of course not; it has some Saaby 'quirks,' but thats all.

My dad's 97 9k aero is a rocketship, with one of the best interiors I've ever been in. His 73 Sonett is an original, mostly unrestored time capsule that we take to car shows all the time, but he can't drive it every day.

Remember that for a long time, the 99/c900 were the black sheep. Ignition in the center console? Bah, not on the "REAL" saabs. Point is, I like what the brand stands for, and I appreciate the engineering that goes into every one of these cars. I'll always have a c900, but I look forward to what's coming next.
