Not exactly. The 900 Convertible (CV) is, dimensionally, exactly the same as a 900 TWO-door sedan. That was the car that it is based on, and was the original car that the roof was cut off of by ASC. Only the prototype was done that way, production cars were built as CVs.
The 900 hatchback (3 and 5 door, design goes back to early 70s and the 99) and 900 sedan (2 and 4 door, designed around 1980 for intro in the 1981 MY) have very different shapes to their rear fenders. If you look on a 1986 or earlier car, you can easily see that the rear bumper clears all sheetmetal on the rear of the hatches, whilst on the 900 sedans of the same vintage, there is a relief in the rear fenders so that Saab could use only one bumper on both cars. With the 1987 facelift, Saab arranged that only the bumper extensions on the rear would be different.
