No really. I never had a Saab with a working alarm system, nor have I ever had the need for valet parking. Even had such an occasion arrisen how could I ever trust a non-Saaber to not tear up the key geting it from the ignition especially after breaking off a reverse gear tooth. As old as my average Saabs are I still would not entrust then to the callous hands of a novice. Jon thank you for the in depth report on the valet switch. Its really keen to know the thought engineers put into such minut details. As for the side cables Jon spoke of what is their purpose are they to continue the grounding circuit? I noticed one on the side that looked pinched and worn through somewhat . Was this the cable you spoke of and why should I salvage them?
