Thank you for the input!
I've already got the steering rack on the shop floor....did one previously on my 90 900T 3 door with engine out (my first 5 speed rebuild) and I would not want to do one any other way. The BJ's and wheel bearings have been done recently, right as my auto was dying.
will do the lower (suction side-return) rad. hose as I won't want to go back up under that intake. Already have a new HEPU waterpump.
I didn't think the drivers side (LH) mounts ever failed...they are in compression unless the car is in reverse as I recall. I already have a new pass side (RH) mount. The front mount will have to be changed, as the Automatic has a different front mount.
I did the upper control arm bushings on my 90T years ago, it was a major PITA as I recall. You are correct, this would be the time to do it. I'm not sure if the SAAB OE bushings are still available, if you know please advise
The shift-shaft coupler I have is the early type, C battery sized and round with the tapered pin. I had a bugger of a time getting the original pin out, but I put it back with never-seize, so it came out fine this time.
The 5 speed was completely rebuilt....all bearings, springs, of course pinion bearings. I think I had almost $800 in parts and gaskets, so it is good to go with only about 15K miles since rebuild.
Any more suggestions?
