My thought: Three inches ALL the way back, especially if your getting into heavy mods. Turbos don't like backpressure. The bigger the better.
If your going to spend the $$ on a 3" downpipe, don't waste your money on a 2.5" pipe farther back....you'll be slowing exhaust flow down that way.
