power/torque in the stock Auto to 200 Hp/ 217 ft-lbs because of
concerns regarding the capacity of the transmission.

If you do the upgrade you must try to take it easy on the transmission.
No full throttle upshifts or full throttle downshifts. Frequent ATF changes
preferably with synthetic.

I have an Auto Aero that now has about 250 Hp and 260 ft-lbs.
I have about 112K on the car, with about 40K while upgraded.
If I want to accelerate quickly, I manually downshift the transmission
to the appropriate gear before getting on the throttle.
If I accelerate at full throttle I anticipate the next shift and lift the throttle
and let the transmission shift without excessive load.
The transmission will break eventually, but by not abusing it you can
make it last longer.
Don't worry, babying the transmission will not significantly
degrade the performance. A turbo charged car with an automatic
does not have any turbo lag and with 250 Hp the car will be exceptionally
quick.
