Steve makes a pretty good point about not screwing around with anything but Saab parts. That being said, Waxstat is a very good quality English brand of thermostat, I use them with good results on two 9K's
What is 'really cold out'? the thermostat is a good place to start, but just because your car is running hot doesn't mean you should put a desert temperature thermostat in it. Your's just might be stuck. There could also be other things going on, but that's a good place to start.
