so before i was worried about my 92 9000T running too hot... should i worry about it running too cold too?
i recently replaced the fan switch with the oft mentioned Wahler 85° C (didn't change the thermostat though) after a couple of instances where my 9000's temp guage, in heavy stop and go traffic, shot up from it's usually 9.30-10.00, all the way to the edge of the red H zone. i turned my ACC on Hi at full blast and the temp kicked down to about 3/4. checked fuses when i got home and found nothing unusual. (ultimately it turned out to be a faulty relay)
with the new switch, the fan now kicks on at about 3/5 and cools it to 1/2.
the only thing is, subjectively, the car doesn't feel as fast as did before. could the car be running too cold? again, it's a subjective feeling. my old 900Ts were pretty tempermental (one day they feel like they could take on an m3, other days you wouldn't want to go up against an geo metro) but the 9000's always felt consistenly lightning fast...
