that is what was broke, and likely still is. The chances of your clutch also croaking at the same time are fairly slim. So I would definitely rule out the fluids first.
Forgot who said it, but will second Aeroguy's suggestion of using a vacuum to suck the fluid out of the nipple. He seemed to think it did a better job of getting the air out. Worth a try....
If the clutch plate is shot, you will be able to shift into gear ok, but the clutch spins and you stay still with a revving engine.
If all else fails, how about running over to Andrews and letting them bleed the system. Can't imagine they would charge such a good customer too much...
