Once again I say ...

... so often, better ain't better. I've ordered a set of PBR Deluxe pads. This "warm 'em up before you intend to use 'em " stuff just doesn't work when you've been blasting down the interstate for an hour or two and suddenly you need to stop. You guys can have your no-fade metal pads ... I get really irked when I have to work extremely hard to get into the antilock zone. For most drivers, response is a lot more important than fade. As far as I'm concerned, fade became a non-issue decades ago when drum brakes went away.
On a related note, I just replaced the rotors and now my pedal seems to have more air than it used to - more dead spce before it responds. I compressed the pistons, but saw no reason to bleed. Obviously, I will bleed them as soon as I can find some DOT 4 (that stuff is hard to find!). Anyone else noticed this effect?
