everything. I reported my experience with Metalmasters and Deluxe, and have seen similar experiences. Not to say everyone's car responds the same, but I'll be buying Deluxe in the future.
Actually Quasi, blasting down the interstate keeps the pads hot, and Metalmasters should grip fine. It is that first couple of stops when the car is cold that shake the sleep out of my system.
For squealing, I read somewhere that fileing off a bevel all around keep sympathetic vibrations from starting. Sometimes I do it, sometimes not. No problems with squeal. I also use copper antiseize on the back of the pad.
As for the rotors, I've usually got less space to slip the pads on. Probably moot anyway, as the fluid should compensate. Did you overfill resevoir by pushing the calipers back?
