Whomever led you to believe that Metal Masters require ANY kind of warm up lives on a different planet than I. As previously stated I've used metal masters on several (6 or possibly 8) cars since '80 from VW to Alfa to Lotus to Acura with no "warm-up" problems evident whatsoever.. I completely agree.. ANY pad that requires a "warm-up" is essentially useless for street use. I've had a set of Metal Masters on my wife's 900T since '85 .. and I'm sure you know just what kind of certainty it takes to risk anything to do with "her" car :-)
My wholesale brake bits distributor.. in business since '47.. tells his regular customers to avoid the "beluxe" pads as they have had serious quality control problems.. and to add insult to injury simply do not work as well as the metal masters.
At the current price of the things.. yer only risking a couple of Flats of Beer, pricewise ;-)
