I hate to keep whining about this ACC issue, but...

Okay, I know what you're all thinking..."Miss Thing" is just itching to get started on a new DIY project now that she's completed her first successfully, so she's looking around for ANYTHING to get her hands dirty again. Not so.
But really...I am irritated...very irritated (and NO I'm not old enough to be menopausal, so stop right there!) about the fact that I still have that VERY rapidly cycling compressor clutch. It bugs me.
I have a nice clean, lubed cabin sensor thingie, I have hot heat, I have cold air, BUT if I set the ACC to "AUTO", I get that very rapid cycling. (If set to ECON, doesn't happen.)
The cycling now goes something like this, and very consistently so: kicks on, stays on for approximately 4-5 seconds at best, kicks off, stays off for approximately 12-13 seconds...and repeats and repeats and repeats and repeats ad nauseum, just like that.
I read with great interest the post from a board brother who also has a rapidly cycling Seiko, and hoped at the time that it might be "normal" for these dastardly little compressors apparently inspired by satan. But even with my HIGHLY limited knowledge of any car-like, I can tell the 4-second thing is just too rapid, though I am open to correction, as always.
And no, my new bright yellow tool kit and I are not looking for something to do, because we are well engaged in the DIY lock cover/flapper replacement on a friend's Mazda Protege. What a beast of a little project THAT is. I finally got the door panel off after two days' research online, and then once I proudly got in there, I could not get to the lock assembly to remove it. Grrrrr.....Had to replace the door panel and call it quits...FOR NOW. I'm not a quitter, so...I'll research this one further after work.
Meanwhile, to the compressor issue...
Should I just ignore this rapid cycling?
