...these symptoms are dramatic while the car is being driven, but very different, (i.e. giving a good 20-22 seconds between cycling), when idling?
I just went out and sat in the car for awhile in my office parking lot. The other good folks in my office building probably think I went out to listen to some tunes.
Anyway, I felt that there was some rapid cycling at 62, but the most dramatic rapid cycling took place on LO. (This is with the ACC setting on "AUTO", of course.) HOWEVER, the rapid cycling was nowhere near as dramatic while I sat out there in an idling vehicle as it is when I'm driving the vehicle. Just wondering if that tells you anything.
So I'm sitting there with AUTO set to 62, (because it's so much more difficult to hear the finer changes when on HI or LO), and I noticed how my engine "jerks", or stutters, when the clutch engages. At least I THINK what I'm hearing is the sound of the clutch engaging.
The little volt meter thingamabob goes down slightly when it engages as well, (whether idling or driving), which I suspect is normal.
Thank you all very much for your thoughtful discourse on my rapid cycling issue. See why I love my bike so much? Rapid cycling is not an issue in the least...just moves me along more quickly.
Who invented the engine anyway? Some dude with a corporate interest in environmental destruction?
Thanks again, friends. :)
