Immediately after the exhaust manifold will be the turbo. The turbo consists of two separate chambers, each with their own turbines in them, lined through the middle by a rigid shaft. The exhaust gas pressure causes the turbines to spin. After the turbo, exhaust gases continue on out the exhaust pipe.

On the intake side, fresh air comes in through your air intake, through the AMM (air mass meter), which measures how much air is being used by the engine, and into the intake side of the turbo. The spinning turbine pressurizes this air, and the next stop is the intercooler, which is up by the grill of the car. This takes some of the heat out of the pressurized intake air. Then up a long tube to the throttle body and into the intake manifold.

The amount of boost, or pressurization above ambient air pressure, depends on the amount of exhaust being produced. At very low power levels, there is no boost above ambient, and it behaves like a NA engine. In the CS, boost is kept fairly low, equivalent to base boost on the CSE. So you don't get a boost gauge unless you install one yourself. If boost levels start getting too high, the boost pressure control valve (BCP valve) will activate the wastegate, which provides a bypass for exhaust gases around the exhaust turbine, straight into the exhaust pipe. You can't hear anything different when this opens, in terms of exhaust sound.

You may notice power building as boost builds, which produces more power and more boost. This kind of sneaks up on you.
