Can't say as I've heard anything good about those, except of course the stuff spouted by the manufacturer. This may be the first time I've ever seen anyone admit to having them in their Saab.. But hey, if they work well and don't break the bank, can't argue with that!
I'm using plain-Jane Autolite plugs, but that's because I have a Jacobs ignition.
I wouldn't be gung-ho about replacing your turbo as preventative maintenance. Mine is at 283k miles and still original, I think the body will fall off the car before the turbo dies. As I recall, you have quite a bit less mileage than my car?
Nice to hear about the faster spool up with the manual boost controller. I still may try that at some time in the future, but that'd be just one more variable in the complex mixture, and I finally got the APC behaving well after about a year..
