First, it’s nice to hear a voice of intelligence. I got those awfully named plugs because when I went to the stupid American auto parts store. They only had the cheaper 99cent plugs and split fires.
As for the turbo, I am concerned because the original turbo (a response to your mileage reference) blew up 2 days after I owned the car. This turbo was actually giving to me by someone. ;) Its in great shape but it makes a noise on spool up. It’s not really a whistle it’s more of a "siren". I was told and have read that a noisy turbo is a sick turbo. Perhaps you've heard different (hoping for yes here).
Finally, I may still run the MBC in series with APC. However I really don’t see the point. I think you and I have similar goals, i.e. more torque and not so much top speed. Therefore after the winter I may get a stronger coil (maybe Jacobs) and definitely AID. There is a fellow on the performance BB (Cort) who's offered to tell how to mod an extra distributor I have.
My only question is what are my options in terms of coils? I have looked the Jacobs’s site and SPG9; it looks like 200 bucks for the kit is the price. Are there other manufactures that make a similar product for 9k T?
This is all I got for now...back to work.
