I did too! But I fixed it. I broke the little plastic knob that the flap acually uses to twist on an axis. I repaired it with a wood screw & epoxy. Still works 2 years later.
Mike, just keep pulling on it and jerking it and twisting it. . . and I mean HARD. I was scared to death I was going to break something (which I did) but thats the only way that sucker was going to come out after I spent hours trying to gingerly and delicately pull it out. This is why a blower motor job costs so much. The actual blower motor costs $70. If I were a mechanic, I'd by golly charge $650 for the labor too!
