Is it supposed to sit there doing nothing under normal circumstances, just being there for safety? Or is it supposed to act every now and then?
I adjusted mine as much as I could, but still had it cut sometimes. I made a further adjustment and after that it went totally berserk and is clunking merrily along now, to the point that I had to jump it temporarily.
Still, even when the car is switched off, you can hear that familiar cluck coming from under the passenger side windshield wiper.
I think you're right about the fan. I thought I understood that David was saying the regular fan in his car would come on sooner because of the AC pressure switch. But of course, the AC fan will also have an effect on the main cooling radiator. So if you switch the AC off, temperature might rise somewhat. I'm still not accustomed to that. My Euro-spec car does not have the AC radiator as you know.
Thanks,
Jan Geert
