When my wife left work yesteray with our 90 9000cd, 2.3l n/a she had no heat. She drove the car about 15 miles into town when she noticed the temp gauge was pegged on high, she also noticed the battery lite was on. At this point she made the choice to drive it home. Another mile or so she loses the power steering. She drive another 5 mile through town and gets home. She calls me at work with her story and i feared the worst.

I get home and hope it appears that it is not as bad as i thought. Although the serp belt was still entacted it is not on the pullies.
I had just added anti-freeze to the tank a few days prior so i know the level was just below 'max'. Now it is at 'min'. Luckly it only got a 10 degree f in Maine yesterday.

So i think she lost the water pump, but what else could have happened?

I need to have all the parts in hand when i show up at the repair shop. I plan on having a new serp belt, tension pulley and water pump. What else do i need. Also i plan on having the coolant flushed. I just changed the oil but plan on changing that also so i can see if their is any coolant in the oil.

What else do i need to buy and check.
