Reading your upper statement that the coolant are coming out that easily between the head/engine makes me wonder.
And maybe you should not worry anymore with this engine, just throw another one in there.
Did you resurface the head? I had one shop doing such a bad resurface job ones (one tooth on cutting disc was off alignment). It left a groove in the head every time that tooth passed by. BUT, you couldn't really tell by looking at the surface.
You should have seen my face when I put everything together and started the engine. As soon as the pressure started to build in coolant system, the coolant came out like through a strainer at each and every groove. LOL
Another time, another shop used a bench belt grinder. Pretty much a big belt sander. The head was really straight lenght wise, but like a banana across the short end. What to do, what to do????
Did you use a new headgasket EVERY time?
To much of slippery oil on the bolts are not good either.
But as I said, get another engine and install.
