Well, I've put them up to 37 all round. I found the fronts had been set by the fitters at 35 (as requested) but the rears were only 33. Steering is certainly better and overall grip on dry roads is absolutely phenomenal: a couple of days ago I chased some sort of Honda (with a wing) up Zig-Zag Hill near Shaftesbury, Dorset and was definitely quicker through the corners. I know he was trying because of the way he was overtaking later on!
I don't know about wet road performance because we haven't had any rain to speak of for a month.
Overall, I still find the tyres a bit squidgy on entering a corner but am putting this down to all that extra tread depth. The car feels very well balanced and neutral in corners, even very tight ones, once you've turned in, because the tyres simply won't let go. Comfort is still much better with the Goodyears at 37 than with the worn P6000s at 35.
All in all, I'm pleased though I'd be interested to try a car fitted with some Bridgestones S-03s too. If reputation is anything to go by I won't be replacing the Goodyears for many miles!
