I would agree with dkw it seems like O2 sensor. I cured my `90 9ks idle problem by replacing the sensor. Before you undertake the replacement you can run an easy check: disconnect O2 sensor at connector (under plastic panel on passenger side behind fire wall). There could be 2 separate connectors (sorry, I dont remember for sure): one with 2 wires (those are pre-heaters for the sensor)- you dont even need to disconnect this one; another with 1 wire (this a signal wire to the processor) - you must disconnect this one.
Now start your car, it's supposed to idle at 1300-1500 rpm and check engine warning will be displayed. Drive the car for a few days and if it does nor stall - you found your problem.
If this does not work then you can try to diagnose your problem by reading error codes from a special connector located under the same plastic cover but on drivers side (for more info go to http://www.swedishwrench.com/flashcode.html)
Good luck
Please update on your findings
