I've used Wurth CU-1100 anti-seize for years and Posted by John Fitzgerald [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: lug bolt torque / antiseize / Loctite, Bruce A, Tue, 9 Sep 2003 05:50:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
it's made the spring/fall snow tire swap very easy. There are other fine products out there; I happened to buy a can of the Wurth nine or ten years ago and use it on several 'problem' areas on my 99 and 9kT's: thermostat housing bolts, spark plugs, lug nuts, and the little bolts that hold the plastic covers under the front of the 9000 radiator/engine bay (I've heard them called 'diapers'), the anti-seize keeps it from being quite so frustrating when changing coolant, etc, and you need to remove the shrouds.
Have to agree w/ the others about the shop -- if they won't 'fess up to a real mistake, might want to reconsider doing business with them. I also hand torque the lugs at home (even after I use an impact wrench for speed of changing the wheel). 90# is all I've used for years on the Saabs.
